SEMRHIO is a regional collaboration of hospitals in South Eastern Massachusetts formed for the purpose of connecting physicians and patients electronically. Healthcare, unlike other industries, has lagged behind the information technology revolution. While we can do our banking online or withdraw money from a remote ATM at anytime 24/7, healthcare remains largely a paper based system. 

As a result,  healthcare is tremendously fragmented. Sometimes as a patient,  it seems  no one has the "complete picture" of your health. You primary care doctor does not have the results of the  test  your cardiologist ordered, or your neurologist does not have your latest MRI.  SEMRHIO will change that. Our goal is to become a model community for healthcare connectivity, enabiling collaboration between doctors and with their patients. As a patient, you willl have the peace and security of knowing that your important health information will be available to your doctors no matter where you may be, at you primary care doctor's office , the emergency room, or at an emergency room in Florida. Proof-of-concept Milestone  

SEMRHIO just completed a successful proof of concept lab data integration with Milton Hospital. We are continuing Lab integration with Quincy Medical Center and Jordan Hospital.
